Muriel Reserva 2020 is a classic, beautifully matured Rioja from the village of Elciego, one of Rioja Alavesa’s most respected winemaking areas. Crafted primarily from Tempranillo and aged patiently in oak followed by bottle ageing, this Reserva delivers depth, elegance and a smooth, polished character.

The 2020 vintage shows excellent balance between ripe fruit and savoury complexity. It’s a refined Rioja with structure and warmth, yet still wonderfully approachable — a wine that feels both traditional and timeless.

Aroma

Elegant and expressive aromas of ripe cherry, plum and dried red berries, layered with notes of vanilla, cedar, sweet spice, leather and a hint of tobacco.

Palate

Full-bodied, smooth and well-structured. Flavours of black cherry, red plum and blackberry are supported by oak spice, cocoa, vanilla and gentle earthy tones.
The tannins are soft and rounded, the acidity well balanced, leading to a long, savoury and harmonious finish.
